DROP SHIPPING

Drop shipping provides away to people to sell products on the internet that they never have to see, handle or even pay for. It sounds way to good to be true, but in fact is a very simple concept. Drop shipping is selling other people’s products at premium, and keeping the difference as a profit.

Basically you find yourself a supplier and choose the items you think you can sell. Once you have done that you advertise them at a slightly higher price. Eventually you find a buyer who pays you. You forward on the order to you warehouse paying less then you charged your customer and the warehouse sends the goods straight to your customer. A lot of people use E bay to advertise there products however there are many options out there including setting up your own web site, through the newspaper ect. 

PROS

-Your site can open very quickly.

-No need to hold stock, this can reduce your business cost by a far margin.

-Many Drop shippers offer sales in`light bulk` (500 units or less) so you can stock lightly if your desire, however see above.

-No need to own you own warehouse or store goods in your garage you may never sell.

CONS

-Since you normally would not package your own sales so you normally can`t include return business offers such as coupons. 

-There are different fees from different companies for drop shipping, so do your research. You don’t want shipping costs to be to high.

-The price you buy products is normally lower then the retail price however you will not get the same deal you would buying in bulk.

TIPS

-Make sure you do YOUR own research.

-Make sure you find out how quickly the order will be processed and if/what is the tracking number.

-Make sure the customer knows the item is coming directly from your supplier, if anything happens the customer will look to you for answers

-If a problem occurs communicate with your buyer immediately.

-Make sure you take all the fee`s you pay into consideration when you are pricing goods.

-When ordering from a drop shipping company there should be no minimum order. There will most likely be discounts for bulk orders however an order of 1 should be accommodated.
